Kodak has had some trouble producing true winners with its EasyShare lineup, but while we can’t guarantee that the new V1253, V1233 and Z812 IS cameras will get the job done, they’re at least a step in the right direction. The V models are slim and attractive, while the HD prowess of all three cameras is certainly a winner. We just wish Kodak would stop making us feel so bad about not wanting to buy into their whole printing ecosystem if we were ever to pick one of these up.

While we’re still kind of left wondering where the reviews are for all of Interact-TV’s previous kit, the company is announcing a new, 3.75TB MediaPool home media server. At this point, the typical conversion into # of DVDs capable of being stored becomes a little absurd: ~750, in case you were wondering. It’s also upgradeable to 5TB in a RAID 10 formation — thanks Hitachi and co. — and features enough throughput for high definition video. We’re guessing that means the MediaPool features HDMI, although since Interact-TV failed to include that basic fact in the press release, that assumption could eventually make an ass out of … well, nevermind.

ZuneBoards has achieved the feat of getting the Zune to support Korean and Chinese languages, using a hack that could open the door for many new interesting hacks for the thoroughly uninteresting player. Apparently, the hackers managed to get access to the System Partition, which until now has been rather hard. Once in, all they had to do was add a new font package — it all sounds a little dubious to us, but whatevs. By the time more hacks come around, we’ll probably be playing with the Zune 2.
