It seems just unbelievable, but so much so. A Fortune article reported that the latest anti-fatigue and official iPhone Palm, the famous Pre Palm, syncs natively, without any problem of compatibility, music (not protected by DRM) and videos with iTunes.

Jon Johansen, better known as DVD-Jon and author of doubleTwist, suggests on its blog that the work was completed by Palm to reach the goal, and also explains why the compatibility will be broken. In short, the smartphone palm is believed to be an iTunes for iPod, and that’s why when you sync the message “Sync iPod”, not “Sync Palm Pre”:

So how can you Palm? It ‘very simple, actually. Begin with a more basic question that has not to deal with Pre: a computer, what is the difference between an iPod and a stick of Kingston memory? The iPod has a Vendor ID (a producer code) USB specifically identifying it as a product and an Apple USB Product ID identifying it as a specific model of iPod.

Several melalettori of southern origin, or close to the world of production, will be particularly reluctant to consider Sansa winning a brand name for a multimedia player. Moreover, the ways of marketing are endless, and it is not unimportant that a car like the Volkswagen continues to enthusiastically sell a car named Jetta.

However, Sandisk, Sansa, which produces (in addition to being a world leader in flash memory), has become the second largest world producer of digital music players. But the distance that separates it from the top of the league is such that he had admitted a total yield, while being aware that the future of the iPod there will be more and more the type of flash memory, from Sandisk so evangelised.

Who issued this defeat is the SanDisk CEO Eli Harari, the same who once challenged his majesty the iPod to the cry of “iDon’t”, a particularly aggressive advertising campaign and sfottò, some ‘like that for years Apple achieved against its rival operating systems, Microsoft.

The Apple Premium Reseller in collaboration with the company Proambi, a key player in the recycling of products harmful to the environment, have started a recycling campaign called Green Days, which lasted four days from July 2 to July 5.

The initiative, the first of its kind undertaken in Mexico, has encouraged the filing of electronic products in special containers. This was mainly laptops, old monitor, CPU obsolete mobile phones and iPod. After harvesting, ProAmbi will take care of the disposal, by separating the recyclable materials (glass, plastic) than harmful.

Jan René Aguirre, director of ProAmbi, explained that the agreement aims to promote the recycling of old technology equipment and the purchase of a new front for a discount of no less than 3000 pesos (about € 162) for those who had purchased a MacBook Pro, or 1500 (approximately € 82) pesos in the case of polycarbonate MacBook. As for the iPod, the discount was 700 pesos (about € 38) for the iPod Touch is 300 (about € 17) pesos for the iPod nano.

Apple, Microsoft, LG and other 20 companies were cited for violating the patent by TSER, which claims to have invented the touch pad used in devices like the iPod, the Zune and the Chocolate VX8500.

The patent was filed in 1999 by Li Chuang and then admitted only in 2003, after releasing the second generation iPod Classic. The words of the patent could lead to the invalidity of the prosecution case as you describe using a different technology than they realized by Apple. The patent speaks of “the absence of immediate visual feedback so the user does not need to see the device to send commands.

The accusation of TSER is mainly directed against Apple, stating that the patent Cupertino knew already from September 2004. The company calls for “aggravated damages, up to three times” while other companies are only required damage standard. The cause of the defense also requires the payment of future royalties for all those products that continue to use that technology.

Apple has already been involved in other cases for infringement of patents, none of which has to do with the touch pad.

This is one of the most interesting news related to Apple world that happened to us a long time now. A citizen of Missouri, that Gregory McKenna, made the case to Apple, to the FBI, the police in Saint Louis, the U.S. Department of Justice, a car mechanic.

The reason? The poor man is convinced to be the victim of a genuine conspiracy on the part of the above companies and organizations in order to ruin the life threatening death.

McKenna of the story begins with a collaboration with an Fotomodelle which in fact was a cover of the Italian American mafia. Since licensee begins his ordeal, including sabotage of his car and threatened with death by gun pointed at temples, which the local police and FBI do not seem to be willing to pursue. But now comes the fun.

Two models of Apple iPod, a Shuffle, respectively, on Ebay and bought a mini bought from an Apple Store, are both, according to McKenna, with receiving illegal mixavano that its playlist along with audio messages like: “You are about to die” or ” You are dead. ” McKenna would have produced the recordings of these messages as evidence. We will see how this will turn out strange history.

As you will recall, Apple has begun to replace traditional halogen lamps with the new generation of screens some time ago (the MacBook Pro 15 “was the first), with a twofold purpose: first technology LED allows for considerable savings energy, increasing autonomy; other hand these new screens have an environmental impact significantly lower, being free of hazardous materials and pollutants such as mercury.

Among other benefits must also remember the less dispersion of heat compared to halogen technology and, very important factor for professional graphics, complete control over the temperature of white, easily adjustable parameter in LED displays.

Currently, LED technology is used by Apple for the already mentioned MacBook Pro 15 “and the MacBook Air. For the MacBook Pro 17 “ is possible segliere” LEDs “between the options build-to-order.
By next year, presumably then with the next generation of portable Cupertino, will not only be completely eliminated halogen technology, but all laptops with the apple will be equipped with a new generation of LED lamps, more efficient and reliable produced by Kenmos Technology: MacBooks will be the last to benefit, and respect for the natural life cycle, both for a mere reason of costs.

The FCC - the government agency that certifies U.S. and authorizes devices that make use of radio waves - has recently given the green light to market a card produced by Intel that could cope with WiFi and WiMax, called 5350 WiFi / WiMAX combo.

The file in question has a pinout physically compatible with the slots in the MacBook and MacBook Pro, currently used with traditional Airport cards. However, it is unlikely that at present can run on these configurations. First, because currently there are no drivers for Mac, but only for Windows; second, because the antenna integrated WiFi may be unsuitable for that purpose.

In any event, given the close relationship between Apple and Intel nothing that soon we will see implemented this technology on Mac rumor and want to September already introduced products are compatible with WiMAX.

At that point, ironically, lacking only one thing: the network coverage.

If Italy Vodafone and Tim are preparing the arrival of ‘iPhone 3G, in the U.S. AT & T is not less, with articulated plans for network development and an unusual restriction on sales.

Until further notice, in fact, in stores AT & T can buy one iPhone per person instead of the first three awards and, of course, the purchase should strictly be regularized by credit card. This is probably justified with the intention of the operator to maintain a stock of phones until the actual launch of the new model.

Much more interesting instead the announcement that AT & T has plan to develop an extensive network with 3G speeds up to 20 megabits per second by 2009, certainly to prepare the network iPhone but also to the whole new set of devices that will be, including the Blackberry 9000.

Maybe AT & T has learned that instead of banning the “unblocking” of devices that are used with other operators, it would be more fruitful to give customers a reason to stay. And the development of the network certainly goes in this direction.

Apple these days is committed to enforcing its own reasons against SUISA, the equivalent of oltralpe of our SIAE, which so far has imposed what constitutes, in our own house, the well known and controversial fair compensation.

The Swiss legislation would affect, in practice, all devices musical based on solid-state memories sold on Swiss soil. The contribution would then be required will vary depending on the capacity of the object in question.

A Cupertino would like to put an end to the issue, given that the scenario increases the price of iPods would certificate on values from 42 to 153 Swiss francs (between 25 and 90 €). Apple has made it known that he never downloaded these costs on their customers. However, the Mela is trying to be exempt from this duty, at least on sales completed on the online store.
The strategy of Cupertino is to understand the Swiss authorities that the products of the store are purchased, in fact, in Ireland and, from there, transported in the homes of their customers.

By ‘introduction of iPhone on Swiss territory, in Cupertino are probably concerned that the smartphone is classified as a player and, as such, end up having to load annoying extras.
